SOPHIE
Sophie received her Master of Physical Therapy (MPT) from the University of British Columbia. Prior to that, she competed in the pentathlon on the varsity Track and Field team at Trinity Western University. Her sports background also includes competitive volleyball, basketball, and gymnastics.
Sophie has a keen interest in athletic injuries, as well as post-operative rehabilitation, including ACL and Achilles repairs, hip, knee and ankle replacements, and bone fractures. She also has experience working with the pediatric population. Sophie is currently a Clinical Skills Assistant for the MPT program at UNBC.
With Sophie, you can expect to play an active role in your recovery, feeling listened to and understood. Your goals will be incorporated and prioritized as you work through your treatment plan. Sophie uses a combination of manual therapy, exercise prescription, and education unique to each client’s circumstances. She values the role of injury prevention, as well as the importance of lifelong physical activity for achieving the strongest version of yourself.
